Little Italy: St Gabriel festival

I have a thing for fire hydrants. You'll see.

Watching bocce ball. There were lots of old, short Italians there. <3

Well, we are nearing the end of training here in Baltimore. I will have been here for 16 days when I leave on Friday morning. Not that I am not grateful to have a neat opportunity like this to travel for work (and I'm thankful to even have a job!), but I am beyond ready to go home.

One thing that is nice about anywhere I go is that there are generally always some of my good friends around, clouds. :)

Evening in Baltimore (2)

Atop Federal Hill.
I really enjoyed this park. Hopefully I stumble across other tucked away places in Baltimore while I am here. Feel free to make suggestions. I'll be around 'til the 28th.

Evening in Baltimore (1)

The runners were out in full force this evening.
Made me feel guilty for just being out taking photos and walking 'round.
Tomorrow.

DC Part 2ish: Catalpa or "Indian Bean" tree

My favourite kind of tree (for the most part), in its native region. :O)

Day trip to Washington, D.C. Part 1

From Baltimore to Washington, DC

Flowers from the U.S. Botanic Garden
I don't know how this happened, but sometime in the last year or so I've become slightly obsessed with flowers, trees, etc. and can't help but flock toward them. Mom, I partly blame this on you.

Ladybugs!

I guess the unusual amounts of rain we have been getting this summer have caused an infestation of ladybugs! Apparently Jefferson County has a notable amount of them (at least, enough to be mentioned on the Today Show a few weeks ago). I've noticed more than usual but this past weekend I saw the swarms of them that I've seen in other people's photos...
